Nancy Drew: Treasure in the Royal Tower PC Game?
Ok. I’ve been trying for hours to get this game to work. I’ve installed it and played it on other computers just fine, but for some ungodly reason it will not play for anything on this computer. I have all system requirements met and yet i have rendered no successful gameplay. To begin i disable my CA Security suite; anti-virus, anti- spyware, and my firewall. Since other places have suggested that these may cause interferences with installing the game files. After doing this I; I insert the CD and go through the installation just fine, but when i finish and go to play it, it pretends like it wants to load and then it gives me this message. “Unable to CIF / CAL TREE file in Unable to CIF / CAL TREE file in Unable to CIF / CAL TREE f – all tree data has been cleared…” Once i click ok on that i get another message stating that there was a runtime error and the program was terminated. I have tried uninstalling and then searching out all remaining game files that may have been left behind as debris and deleting them, restarting the computer and re-installing the program to no avail. I have looked on other forums and tech support threads and nothing i seem to find is helping at all. I am losing my patients with this game. The only reason i have not broken the disk in half is because i really want to play it. .
How new is your computer?
Try uninstalling and reinstalling following these directions:
If that doesn’t work, make an account and post your question here (or look through other questions):

I need a fun pc game!!!?
Hello, today i bought Fallout 3. after an hour of gameplay i was considering committing suicide from depression (not really). I dont think i can play it agian..seroiusly.. I have mw2, mw, ac2, gta SA, halo 2 (doesnt work on win7) aoe3, medieval 2 total war, and some others… but im sick of cod and i already beat ac2 and im to lazy to beat gta and aoe3……and m2tw is fun but gets old! so what fun games are there? and please dont say F.E.A.R.
thanks for the comments below. fallout 3 did seem to be going somewhere but it was to depressing like i said. and i no sc2 just came out but its 180 dollars for 3 races
Well Fallout 3 is a great game. The beginning of all RPGs suck.
I have like 20 Xbox 360 games and about 3-4 are RPGs.
To be honest, Oblivion Elder Scrolls IV would have to be the best RPG, if not the best game made at this moment. It is old but the creation, variety, graphics, and everything else about it exceed all expectations.
Dragon Age: Origins is also a good game, but more tactic based.
I would give u named of other games that aren’t RPGs, but I don’t think it is worth it. And I am not an RPG nut, I just know what’s a good game.

Can I install, and run, a PC game (Spore) from my external hard drive?
I have a Dell Dimension 4500, Intel Pentium 4,2.4GHz, Direct X 9.0c and a GE Force 2 MX/MX 400 Nvidia card and 1GB RAM. I only have about 12 GB left on my hard drive so I want to know if I can operate Spore from my external HD.
I installed SPORE (A legal copy, first time install) to my f drive (external HD). Won’t work. A box pops up saying I need Direct X, but I already downloaded it, and triple checked, it’s there.
Is it my hardware?
The Spore READ ME says GE FORCE Series are okay.
Do I need a”dedicated” video card?
Or should I simply install the game to my main HD?
Try installing it to your main HDD – though I don’t think using an external HDD is the problem. If it works on your internal, but not the external, I’d like to hear about it. I’ve installed many games onto my external drives.
You may want to see if you have any DirectX updates available, but I doubt that’s the case. Just for the hell of it, try disabling any anti-virus programs you may have running, as they can (and often do) cause weird little issues when installing programs.
